2012 ODYSSEY - MAYAN CULTURE &
PROPHECY OF 12-21-2010

Anticipating the approach of 12-21-2012, the end of the Mayan calaendar, Seven Arrows Gallery will present a show featuring artist Richard Mazzola's paintings and masks that artistically and emotionally embrace the Mayan culture.

Through the use of heavy lines, bold color and shape, Mazzola has created a sense of balance to the predicted either catastrophic planetary events, or a global enlightenment, or perhaps the cosmic consciousness or rebirth of our planet.

"I make art. I paint." In Julia's paintings, color, form, shape and depth are used to express thoughts, feelings, and emotions for which she says, "I have no words." Her paintings are created using mixed media and include a wide variety of materials. "I look for materials that glow; that lift off from the canvas and bring the viewer in."
